Description

The Japanese art form haiga combines haiku poetry with painting in a rich and subtle intermingling of the arts. Fifty-two works from public and private collections in Japan and the United States were shown in this first exhibition of Japanese haiga in the U.S. Organized by the Marsh Art Gallery of the University of Richmond, with curator Stephen Addiss, formerly of KU.
