Description

This exhibition is shown in conjunction with the Eighth Annual Lawrence Indian Arts Show. The works date from the 17th century to 1993 and show the evolving tradition of the Hopi of northeastern Arizona. The 32 works from the KU Museum of Anthropology and a private Kansas City collection, are by artists descended from the famous potter Nampeyo, who initiated the modern revival of Hopi pottery style.
