Día de los Muertos is a time during the first two days of November when Mexicans and other Latin Americans remember their dead. This observance has roots in indigenous American and European traditions. Living Memories: Celebrating Day of the Dead explores how gravesites can reflect the personalities of the dead and how different cultures remember their loved ones. It features objects and images related to Latin American celebrations of Día de los Muertos and Douglas County’s Oak Hill Cemetery.
