Ivory figure of a full length female (identified as the Virgin Mary) and child (identified as Jesus Christ). The female is seated facing left, wearing robes and a head covering. Her proper left hand is raised to chest-height. The child to her left is nude. His proper left leg is toward the woman and his proper right leg is bent at the knee. The piece has an oval shape.
