Saruk or Herez Persian rug with a floral foliage central medallion with stepped sides and pendants. The borders have eight elaborate stripes with “pear” motifs and a Herati border (four crumpled leaf forms surrounding a rosette-type shape). The warp alternates cotton threads and buried. The weft crosses twice and is dyed blue. The pile is closely trimmed and velvety. The rug has pale pink, dark blue, light blue, ivory, green and yellow.
