Description

White chalk, charcoal on paper. Six figures in an apse or under a half dome. The dome is separated from the wall by a cornice. Two ribs o the dome are visible. There are designs between the ribs. The ribs, though broken by the cornice, continue down the wall to the floor. Swags are present below the cornice. One figure sits on a throne or large chair on the left. The throne rests on a pedestal four steps above the floor. There is a canopy over the throne. Two figures support a swooning figure (identified as Esther) at the foot of the steps.
