Description
Literature

On a triumphal car drawn by dragons, sits Ceres, the goddess of agriculture, with Triptolemus leading her chariot and with putti accompanying her in the air. On the left is a nymph with a sieve, who represented for the Baroque the personification of vegetation. On the right, a group of several figures bearing such instruments as a plow, rakes, spades and sickles, and leading a span of oxen, symbolizes agriculture in general.
