Figures in an interior. Two full-length figures in the foreground, three quarters view, facing toward each other; both figures have gold halos around their heads. The figure on the left (identified as the angel Gabriel) is winged and has his proper right hand raised, palm out. He is carrying a plant in his proper left hand. The figure on the right (identified as Mary) is wearing blue with a red robe. She is carrying a book in her proper left hand and raising her proper right, hand palm out. At the top of the painting is a cloud with many winged figures; there is a male figure (God) seated in the middle, with one finger on his proper left hand raised in the air
