Pattern from circa 1840. Illustrated in "Quilts and Their Story" by Marie D. Webster (p.29). A long slender dark green stem grows from a red triangle at the bottom left hand side of the piece. Two smaller stems branch out into red and pink flowers which grow towards the corners and the large stem ends in an identical flower which points towards the top right hand side. Smaller leaves grow out from the long center stem.
