Illustrated in "Quilts and Their Story" by Marie D. Webster (p. 100). A thick green stem grows from the bottom left hand side of the square towards the center where it ends in a large light and dark pink rose with a yellow center. Seven stems which all end in pink buds branch out from the center flower. (Original design circa 1855.)
