Pattern from circa 1842. Illustrated in "Quilts and Their Story" by Marie D. Webster (p. 66). Four slender green stems cross in an X across the center of the piece and connect in the center at a small yellow patterned circle. The ends of the X are the same circles with red flowers consisting of five leaves growing out of them. The leaves point towards each of the four corners. Four short and large green leaves grow from the center towards all four sides.
