Description

Castleford-type white salt glazed stoneware teapot and lid. The handle is curved with a foliate design at the base and a band of blue around the tip. The handle is ear-shaped with blue trim. There is a band around the center of the body which has classical figures in relief. There is a band of blue above and below the relief band. The lid is domed with a dog finial on top, surrounded by a foliate border in relief.
