Description

Castleford-type white salt glazed teapot and lid. The body of the teapot has panels. The interior design of the panel alternates between diamond shaped medallions with foliate decoration inside and classical designs with figures in relief. Around the top of the teapot is a relief swag design. The spout is curved with fluting at the base. The handle is angular with blue trim. The panels and edges are also trimmed in blue. The lid has a blue triangle border and a flower shaped finial on top.
