Description

Patterned huck weave in half bleached linen. The tablecloth has added, knotted cotton fringe on all four edges. Initials "ARG No 1" embroidered on one edge.
Old card: "Made of lax grown, spun and woven on the farm of Rufus Converse, Chenango County, New York, before 1847. Geometric pattern. Seam down center. Cotton knotted fringe 3" long. Embroidered in red cross stitch near center seam, 'R A C No 1' (or ARG No 1)"
