Small and large 8-pointed stars, both made from multicolored, diamond shaped pieces. Chevron-patterned, calico outline around the central design. Parts of cotton hulls are probably in the batting of this colorful summer quilt made of late 19th century calicoes. The smaller stars and the fine quilting further enhance the graceful design.
