Description
Inscriptions/Signature

A skit done by the courtesans of a green house in Yoshiwara during the annual Niwaka festival. Figure to the right in a male role, figure to the left in a female role, likely as man and wife, as mentioned in the title. At the top left the names of four courtesans are listed, Ine, Sumi, Shizu, Kichi, as well as three other actors or courtesans, and Tomimoto Izumi, who plays a courtesan.
