Two kabuki actors against a plain background. Woman kneels at lower left of composition, dressed in elaborate robes with many hairpins. Man sits on a chest at the center, swords on his waistband. He holds a pipe at the upper right. Text fills the top portion of the composition, seals at the center left, and lower right. Poems by Kikunojō, Danjūrō, and Ifukutei Miyamori.
