Description

Color print depicting a Mountain Bamboo Partridge standing on the ground amid tall grass, morning glories, and bamboo. The bird has brown feathers. Tsukikusa and hebiiehigo (field strawberries). Prussian blue on tsukikusa flowers to center left. There is calligraphy in the top left (Chikkei) and bottom right (artist inscription) corners of the print. Rare series fo bird and flower prints depicting birds imported from China. Prussian blue possibly indicates later state.
