Description

Vertical composition of two women working with silk worms. One woman, dressed in a brown kimono with a red obi, kneels at the lower left quadrant of the composition watching four silk worms crawling in a shallow box at the lower right. A woman in a black kimono stands at the right half of the composition, a large loom behind her. Text fills the upper left section of the composition, two seals and an inscription at center left, seal at bottom center. Cartouche at upper right.
