Vertical composition of an interior scene. Two women stand at the center of the composition, the woman at the right stands in a pink and purple kimono looking back toward the left. She holds a large flower arrangement over her shoulder. Second woman stands to her left, dressed in a pink patterned kimono, with her hand on the head of a man who sits on the floor at the far left. The seated man wears a black robe, which is open, exposing his torso and legs. A fan and small service tray sit near the man, in the lower left corner. Behind the three figures is a sliding screen, behind which a standing man is visible. A lantern hangs at the upper left. The top of the composition is filled with a text bubble, filled with kana. Seal at lower right corner, two text panels along left side, including artists inscription at lower left.
