Incense burner at bottom center, and section of screen at bottom right corner. Plovers in wave-like formation running from upper left to top center against a windy sky. Waves stretch from center left to center. Cartouche at upper right corner wtih poem and description.
Poem translates:
Across the still air of night
Awaji bound, the plovers fly
Barrier-keepers seeking light
Are oft awakened by their cry.
