Ichikawa Monosuke II (1743-1794) as kintarō, Ichikawa Danjurō V (1741-1806) as the wood cutter Mita Gengo, and Segawa Kikunojō II (1741-1773) as Yamauba. Kaidōmaru, the amazingly strong child holds tree together with Mita as his mother looks on. Play performed at the Kiri Theatre starting in the eleventh month of 1785.
