Landscape with large body of water (Lake Biwa) cutting horizontally through center of composition, mountains in background (including Mt. Hiei), and shoreline in foreground. Horizontal orientation, rectangular image with small quarter circles cut out from each corner. Ships in center of composition and right background. Lighthouse and two trees in right middle ground. People at work in foreground. Blue, gray, red, and yellow are predominant colors.
