Landscape with large body of water. Vertical orientation, rectangular image with small quarter circles cut out from each corner. Body of water (Lake Biwa) dominates bottom ¾ of composition. Two stone piers at lower left, six boats in bottom half, goods and figures visible on boats and piers. Boats with sails visible in middle ground. Structures at upper right, background. Mountains rise in background, including Mt. Hei, top quarter of composition. Grain of woodblock visible throughout. Blue and gray are predominant colors with some purple, brown, red, and yellow.
