Rural landscape with body of water cutting through center of composition. Vertical orientation, rectangular image with small quarter circles cut out from each corner. Two thatched roofs and tree tops in lower left corner. Hill in foreground dotted with trees. Gravestones (five) on hill at center. Small thatched roof structure with two figures and stone marker on shoreline, left foreground. Large body of water in middle ground. Ships, with sails up, dot surface of water. Mountains in background. Sky is top quarter of composition. Blue, green, and gray are predominant colors with some red and yellow.
