Literature

Sampler with one uppercase, one lowercase, and one script alphabets as well as the numbers one through eighteen in horizontal bands from the top. There is an inscription below, center (identified as the “Jesus permit” poem). There is a landscape scene in the bottom left quadrant with a building atop a series of steps/terraces, flowers, and three trees. There is an inscription in the bottom right corner. Colors include blue, cream, green, yellow on indigo (warp) and walnut (weft) linen.
