Sampler with text and a scene of figures in a landscape. There are two lowercase and one uppercase alphabets and the numbers one through eighteen in horizontal bands from the top. Zigzag bands of geometric decoration separate the bands. Below is an inscription (identified as part of the anonymous poem "On Religion") in a box, surrounded by a vine border. Below is a scene with a full length female figure on the left, holding a rake. On the far right is a full length male figure holding a crook/staff. In the center is a gate with flowers. There is a sheep and tree to either side of the gate. There is a border on all four sides with cherries. Colors include black, blues, greens, pink, red, tan, violet, and white on tan.
