Description

Earthenware, covered vase with scenes in blue on white. It has an inverted pear shaped body with a faceted foot and narrow neck. There is a scene painted in an oval on the body of a full length male figure (Abraham) holding a knife to the left of a boy (Isaac) who is lying down on a box. Scrolls, leaves, flowers, and dots decorate the surface of the body, neck and lid. The lid is domed with an animal shaped finial.
