Small rectangular casket with hinged pyramid-shaped cover. The frame is gilded wood. The metal sides are grisaille, with bases of black enamel and figures painted in white. The scenes depict the life of Christ.

The scenes around the bottom, or body, of the casket are identified as: the Annunciation on the right side, the Presentation in the Temple on the back, the Dream of Joseph on the left side, and the Carrying of the Cross on the front. The hinged lid of the casket is decorated with enamel plaques that are identified as: a lamb on the right side, the Flight into Egypt on the back, a cross on the left side, and the Adoration of the Magi on the front.
