Description

Dirt road lined by wire and pole fence winds from bottom right foreground into the left-hand background. Two trees stand on either side of the road and frame a multi-colored butte in the background. Large blue sky.

This picturesque elevation near Lindsbourg, known as "Coronodo Heights", is one of a range of hills supposed to have been a lookout for the Spanish explorers in their march across Kansas. It is said that a piece of Coronodo's armor was found there years ago.
