This plant is dark green, though some of the outermost stalks are light brown. The base stem of this alga is in a “v” shape, and feathery stalks extend upward and outward from this base. Some of the feathery stalks are quite fine, though in other areas the growth is so thick that edges are blurred and blend together. In the top left corner is a green stamp which reads, “Marine Algae.” To the left of the base of the plant is a purple stamp reading, “Herbarium Henry Perrine.” In the bottom right corner is a white square with space for writing information about the plant.
