A young girl wearing a blue dress, black shoes, and white stockings looks at the upper back side of her left arm where a cat has scratched it. The cat is standing on a footstool, clawing the child’s dress with its front two paws. A yellow and black ball lies at the child’s feet.
The verso titles the card “Naughty Puss” and describes the benefits of Dr. Jayne’s Expectorant, which may be used as a healing medicine for children with respiratory ailments. The bottom of the verso also advertises the company's popular vermifuge, and reads that the card is presented by “White & White, Scandia City, Republic Co., Kansas.”
