A nude woman reclines on her back on rumpled sheets. Her left arm is hanging off the bed and she is looking out towards the viewer. Her head is resting on a pillow. Though her upper half is twisted to be flatter on her back, her lower half is angled towards her right side with her legs bent. Sheets are tangled between her legs. There are a few everyday items in the foreground. A one-handled vase or pitcher is on a small stand in the lower left corner, slip-on shoes are just to the left of the center, and a chair piled with clothes and a hat is in the lower right corner.
