Two women sitting on either side of an oval with a triangle on it divide the top half of this title page from the bottom half. The woman on the left is holding scales in her right hand and appears to be Lady Justice or perhaps Themis. She is looking to her left at the other woman. The woman on the right appears to be either Minerva or her counterpart, Athena. She is wearing plumed helmet and a breastplate. She is holding a plume or quill in her right hand and what appears to be some sort of staff in her left.
