Description

A turkey stands in shallow water. The bird is facing toward the right side of the page, but its head is turned to look back over its right shoulder. Its tail trails in the water. Reeds and water plants are behind the turkey. Its plumage is vibrant. The water is just as colorful as the bird, and it appears to be shimmery or mimicking oil on water. Text below the image reads: There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground”. The bird’s scientific name is below the image: "Meleagris gallopavo".
