Flute carved from brown wood, with darker areas along the sides. At the mouth end, there is a loop made from a strip of bamboo and attached to the body of the flute with a string. The top part of the flute is a plain cylinder, then below that there is a carved design with swirls and winged areas, which may be a stylized face. In the center there are six finger holes with carvings of flowers and leaves around them and on the back of the flute. Near the bottom of the flute is a face with large eyes, rounded nose, and long teeth. Below that, the face sits on a double layer of large flower petals.
