A man sits slouched in a chair on a porch, while an anthropomorphized donkey wearing a suit points to a circus procession occurring behind them. A wide brimmed hat lies on the floor next to the seated figure. The hat is labeled "Southern Democacy". The circus line contains an elephant carries a howdah on its back. The cloth hanging over the elephant's body reads "GOP Circus". The canopy of the howdah reads "States' Rights". A horse or donkey led carriage follows the elephant.
