Description

Small ceramic rectangular marker with tapering sides. At the top is a helmet on a wreath of leaves and inscribed with "VERDUN" and on the right and left sides is a canteen and a case, identified as a possible gas mask carrying case. On each of the four corners is a hand grenade. The sculpture is light tan in color and airbrushed with a reddish brown pigment.
