16 small rectangles of palm leaf tied together with thread in an accordion style and with a white string at the top with a pink yarn tassel for wrapping around it. Each section is made from two leaves overlaid on each other. The top leaves are incised and rubbed with ink and have small cutouts.

At the top is a large image of a figure with a human body, eight arms, and an elephant head, (identified as the deity Ganesh), standing on top of a lotus flower. Below that there are five more images of Ganesh inside circles, in various poses. Each circle is surrounded by filigree patterns.
