Description

Painting on paper, mounted on dyed cloth, depicting scenes from the River Ganges. At the top is a female deity with four arms and sitting cross-legged on top of a large orange fish. Below her is another figure sitting cross-legged on green leaves, with a child on her lap. Below that is a gray section with two rows of five figures. Below that are several human figures next to an orange helicopter. Below that are two seated men in yellow clothing, surrounded by numerous other men in white robes. Below that is another row of seven figures. At the bottom is another female deity with four arms, seated cross-legged on a large gray fish. Throughout the background is blue water filled with fish, human figures, other animals and small objects that look like bags or luggage. Around the edge is a yellow border with red flowers and green leaves.
The back of the piece is lined with black and green dyed cloth with green, black and white flowers.
