A detailed view of the Cloisters at Canterbury Cathedral, as viewed from across the courtyard looking east. Built in the Gothic syle, an arcade of pointed arches line the perimeter of the couryard. Below the arch, a series of four colonettes create another arcade that spans the width of each of the main arches. Quatrefoils in a honeycomb pattern surmount the colonette arcade. The gable above the main arch contains a quatrefoil design, while the the peak rises above the roof line. Gravestones appear in the forefront of the image in the courtyard. Tall buildings rise above the cloisters.
