Description

A view of the hut-shaped facade of the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio from within the courtyard. Loggias form the perimeter of the courtyard and contain rib vaulted ceilings. The main facade consists of a two story loggia. The lower story contains arches of the same height. The upper story contains a pyramidal formation of arches – the middle arch being the tallest. A person stands under the second story middle arch. The bell towers are partially visible in this image.
