An exterior view of the eastern facade (the back) of Regensburg Cathedral. The facade is comprised of three stories. The ground level contains small windows with bars over them. The second story contains stained glass windows - one large composition comprised of small lancet windows surmounted with quatrefoil windows. The pierced triforium contains arched windows. The clerestory contains lancet windows surmounted with a rose window. Other architectural elements include pointed arches, finials, pinnacles, and gargoyles. A greenspace lies in the foreground.
