Description

The façade of François I’s wing as viewed from the interior courtyard of the Château de Blois. Built in the early French Renaissance style, the façade includes a steep-sloped roof complete with dormer windows, a polygonal staircase with an ornately carved balustrade, and royal insignia reliefs between the bays of windows. The staircase creates a loggia with open areas between the bays.
