Description

An in situ view of the tomb of Peter Courtenay, Bishop of Exeter and Winchester. The tomb resides in the Winchester Cathedral. His coat of arms appears in a roundel on the aisle-facing side. A mitre appears on top of the shield, which is encircled by two fish. His family's coat of arms appears on the south side. The shield is supported by two Bohun swans on either side. Bohun swans have a crown encompassing their neck from which a chain flows towards the ground.
