Inscriptions/Signature

On the facing left are two men in naval uniforms standing beside a large artillery gun. A flag, identified as the British Navy flag, flies behind them.In the background is a warship named "Charlemagne" and flying a French flag. In the distant background there are two ships, one French, the other unidentified, on fire.

The series title "La Grande Guerre" is printed at the top of the page and the image title and descriptive text are printed at the bottom of the page.
