The entire printed area is shaded in bright red with black outlines and shading. The central figure is a soldier, identified as German by the spike on his helmet and in the title, who is on fire and holds a torch in his proper right hand and flames come off the back of his body. In the background there are two more soldiers that are running after the main figure.

The series title "La Grande Guerre" is printed at the top of the page and the image title and descriptive text are printed at the bottom of the page.
