Description
Inscriptions/Signature

On the facing left there are two men wearing blue and red uniforms, identified as French soldiers, shooting rifles out of a destroyed window or door area. In the middle there are three figures, one of whom appears to be dead, and the other two figures in the background, possibly shooting out of a window. On the facing right side is a dead soldier laid out on a table and covered with the French flag and another soldier is kneeling over him. In the background are two soldiers surrounded by clouds of smoke. The structure itself or one nearby is on fire. In the facing right foreground is an overturned chair.

The series title "La Grande Guerre" is printed at the top of the page and the image title and descriptive text are printed at the bottom of the page.
