Scene set in a forest of evergreen trees, with snow on the ground. In the foreground there are two soldiers in gray uniforms lieing on the ground with dark pink wounds to their bodies and a dark gray wolf stands atop one of the figures. On the facing right side there is another wounded soldier leaning against a rock and with another wolf in the background behind him. On the facing left side of the scene there is a standing soldier in a long gray coat with a red cross on the arm who holds a pistol in his proper right hand and has fired at and injured another wolf, that is falling to the ground.
