Inscriptions/Signature

Print of twelve circular vignettes inside of a thin black border with the title printed above the border. The circles from top to bottom, and facing left to right are:
- Labeled with the word "ZOUAVES" at the bottom. Depicts two standing male figures clasping hands in two different military uniforms.
- Labeled with the word "AiSNE 1914" at the bottom. Depicts four uniformed male figures charging towards their proper left.
- Labeled with the word "SOUCHEZ 1915" at the bottom. Depicts three olive and red uniformed men laying seige to a pinkish colored structure.
- Labeled with the word "GÉNiE" at the bottom. Depicts two standing male figures wearing red, blue and light blue uniforms and cheering each other with glasses of wine.
- Labeled with the word "CARENCY 1915" at the bottom. Depicts two male figures, one lying on the ground outside of a mine entrance, while the other points a shovel towards him.
- Labeled with the word "OiSE 1914" at the bottom. Depicts five figures, one on a bridge holding an axe, below him are three men in a dark green boat, and one in the water holding onto the trestle.

- Labeled with the word "MARNE 1914" at the bottom. Depicts a man wearing a red, blue and green uniform sitting astride a leaping horse with other cavalry in the background.
- Labeled with the word "ALSACE 1916" at the bottom. Depicts five figures dressed in large, thick blue coats, standing in a rocky backdrop.
- Labeled with the word "NARINS" at the bottom. Depicts two standing male figures wearign different colored uniforms clasping hands. There is a body of water and ships in the background.
- Labeled with the word "L'YSER 1915" at the bottom. Depicts a group of soldiers in blue uniforms wearing hats. The French soldiers in blue are shooting at German soldiers.
